Our Philosophy of "Getting Real"

Having recently finished reading the book "Getting Real" by 37 Signals, I began to take some comfort in the fact that we here a Practis follow a very similar philosophy of keeping things simple. Streamlined processes, avoiding bloat (i.e., overhead!), minimizing meetings, and focusing on the project at hand .

We often tell perspective clients that is if they want it done and done right, they come to us. Yes we adequately plan but we plan with a staged or phased approach - taking baby steps, not giant leaps. It is so important to keep interest sparked and the momentum going. You can only do that if you execute in small steps.

What people fail to realize is that the web is a fluid medium, allowing you to change, adapt and grow your site. You don't need to launch the Cadillac version day one. What is important is to focus on the infrastructure - information architecture (IA) and design. Done right, those two things will be your foundation for future site enhancements.
